559. Title & Author: No Time Left by David Baldacci (21 pages)
Genre: Fiction–Short Story
Completed: 7 February 2023
Summary & Review:
Professional hitman Becker gets an odd job offer that he decides to take, against his better judgment. As he rides the train to his assignment he somehow is transported back 50 years into the past. Determined to finish his job, he finds his mark but can’t shake the feeling that there is more to this young woman than meets the eye.
This book was terrible, but it didn’t have to be. Becker was an intriguing character and even the premise was interesting, but so little detail was given as to the motivation behind the antagonist that the story ended up being completely pointless and dissatisfying.
