Doyle presents the current theories and re-thinkings of the Ancien Regime and the French Revolution in a concise and interesting way.
I read this book for a paper I wrote for my History 305 The Age of Enlightenment class. I found it to be an excellent introduction to the history, events, and consequences of the French Revolution.
