590. Title & Author: The Frugal Wizard’s Handbook for Surviving Medieval England by Brandon Sanderson (400 pages)
Genre: Fiction–Science Fiction
Completed: 8 June 2025
Summary & Review:
Waking up in what is apparently medieval England with no memory of his past, John West, a modern man, must figure out what is happening to him and who he is. With the help of fragments of a handbook, West eventually figures out that he is in an alternate dimension, one of many modern people can travel to and even own, that is under assault from his gangster boss.
This was one of the “secret projects” that Sanderson wrote and released with the most successful Kickstarter campaign ever. As such, it was a little different than a lot of his writing but it was still a pretty fun book.
