Summary & Review:
Shep and best friend Carlos head up to the woods for a school campout. Unfortunately for them, their teacher brings along a ventriloquist dummy that magically, and tragically, comes to life! As Shep tries to fight off the dummy when he comes under attack, he accidentally cracks the dummy’s head, apparently killing it. Thinking his problems with Slappy the dummy are over, he is not ready for the terror the dummy can cause when he returns as a ghost!
I read this book to the kids before bedtime over the last few days. They seemed to enjoy it. It was a good level of scary for them and had a pretty fun twist at the end.
