Genre: Fiction--Children’s

Completed: 1 November 2020

Summary & Review:

Growing up among his pack, Swift has everything he needs--friends, food, and safety. But, after his pack is attacked and Swift is cast out on his own, he must travel the wilderness with none of those things and see if he can start over again.

I read this book to Jane at night before bedtime. That was the only good thing about it, i.e. spending time with my wonderful daughter.

This was not a good book. Parry’s writing style was horrendously terrible. She kept using these strange hyphenated words like “look-smell” and “growl-sniff.” That, along with her almost pidgin English the wolf narrated in, drove me nuts. I was going to give the book a 0.5 rating, but then in the Author’s Note at the end of the book, Parry had to ram in her idiotic politics and that did it for me. This book gets a goose egg.
